privacy
last updated october 28, 2026
godspeed has no accounts and no server. i don't collect anything about you, and there's no analytics or tracking in the app, the claude code plugin, or this website.
what stays on your computer
your lessons, your answers, how sure you were on each one, your class files and the graph of what you know are all saved in the app's data folder on your own computer. they stay there until you delete them.
what your ai agent sees
the teaching is done by whatever agent you connect, like claude code or codex. that agent reads the lesson, the class files it needs and your answers so it can teach you. that part goes to the company that runs your agent and is covered by their privacy policy, not this one.
the claude code plugin
the plugin only talks to the godspeed app running on the same computer at 127.0.0.1. to do that it reads the app's access token from the app's data folder. it doesn't store anything itself and doesn't send anything to any other server.
when the app goes online
the app checks github for new versions and downloads updates from github.
if a lesson needs a web page, the app fetches that page. for pages that only load with javascript, it asks jina reader (r.jina.ai) for a text copy, which sends jina that page's address.
the first time you add a lecture recording, the app downloads a speech-to-text model from hugging face. the transcribing itself happens on your computer.
this website
it's hosted on github pages. it sets no cookies. github may keep normal server logs of visits.
age
godspeed is made for college students and adult learners. it isn't meant for anyone under 18.
